DDP PACE - 2 Day Course

This is a 2-day course. The second day of the course goes further into exploring some of the strengths and challenges of relationship-building with children and young people living in residential childcare. It provides additional opportunities for the team to apply the theory to the children they care for, as well as to their own relationships with each other.

The day includes contextualisation of theory to the backdrop of residential care, considering factors such as multiple adults involved in care, the complex lives of both children and adults within the home, working within a system that can feel challenging, and the unique culture of the home.

The training takes place over 2 seven-hour days, followed by 1 mandatory one-hour follow-up session. This meets the requirements of DDP UK.
