Introduction to DDP PACE - 1 Day Course

This one-day workshop provides an overview of DDP (Dyadic Development Practice), early attachemnet, the impact of trauma, therapeutic parenting fundamentals, principles of DDP PACE - Playfullness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy. We explore the application of these elements as a way of approaching relationshops and interactions, not as a tool with which to manage behvaoiurs. The contact is contextualised to the unique setting of residential childcare. It aims to inform and support teams to understand the impact of development trauma on children's capacity to build secure attachements and to emphasis the importance of relational practice between adults and children in the home.
