Safeguarding Children in Residential Care

This training covers awareness of forms of abuse including CCE, CSE, radicalisation and honour- based violence, signs and indicators. We discuss the evolution of Safeguarding legislation in England through the stories of individual children over time, exploring how safeguarding systems have developed to the present day. We consider the unique role of the residential practitioner in contextual safeguarding – including how professional curiosity and relationship- building can help protect children without unnecessarily restricting their autonomy and developmental needs. Over 6 learning hours, this course can be delivered in-person or via Microsoft Teams. CPD accredited. £500 + VAT
